لكن ما يبدأ كحكاية شخصية يتحول إلى اكتشاف مرير: أوهام الإنسان تمتد إلى أبعد من قصتها، في صراع طائفي مستمر بين السنة والشيعة، وأوهام الصهيونية التي تفاجئ الغرب بعد السابع من أكتوبر.
اسمها، عائشة، يحمل رمزية عميقة، فهو عنوان صراع الهوية الديني والسياسي.
و في علاقتها المعقدة مع عبد الرحمن، تتحدى الرواية حدود الحقيقة، لتسأل: هل يمكننا أن نستيقظ من أوهامنا؟ وهل الحق إلا ما نعرفه بعد الرحيل؟"عقدان ونيّف" ليست مجرد قصة حب، بل رحلة فكرية عميقة تستكشف كيف تُشكّل الأوهام مصير الشعوب، والبوح الذي لا يُقال إلا بين الأحياء والأموات.
